Cocoa Beanie - Farm Couture

This hat is created from hand spun yarn, over 50% coming from Cocoa and the ply is from a batt made by a local artist. The batt is to add some fun color interest.

This hat is 100% handmade from raising the sheep, shearing, washing, spinning, and knitting. If you're looking for a one of a kind item, then this is the item for you. Help support hand made goods by purchasing and supporting local makers.

**Please know that this hat is hand spun directly from the fleece. This means that the yarn is textured, or woolen spun. You will see ends of the locks coming out of the hat, thicker and thinner areas of the yarn, there is also some lanolin left in the item. Other fibers contained in the hat include: various silks, flax, linen, cotton, and other wools. I do not know every fiber that is in this yarn other than they are all natural, sustainably sourced fibers. 

This hat comes from a ram named Cocoa. Cocoa is a natural colored merino, and has a very fine wool. He was kind of a troublemaker. Being smaller/shorter than the other Corriedale sheep, he had to assert his dominance. For lack of a better term, one could say he had "short-man syndrome". We did overlook some of his troublesome ways because his fleece was AMAZING. It was so soft and a beautiful and rich color. We will definitely miss this guy, and we're grateful for his contribution to our flock.
